I won't sit at a window seat then. Not that that would make an awful

Would foam earplugs (such as we bikers wear, but available from
Boots,
etc) help diminish sudden pressure waves? (Yeah, you'd need one up
each nostril and to keep your mouth closed too, but you get my
drift...)



Possibly, but I couldn't have anything like that near my ears right now -
got quite few stitches just inside my ear where they took out some
cartilage to create a new stapes :-)
