Gregg is IÉ's Heritage Officer, responsible for managing IÉ's
rich legacy of architectural, industrial and social history, stretching
back to the beginning of railways in Ireland and reminding us of the
distinctive styles of companies long gone. He will tell us about the
challenges of conserving railway heritage within a modern railway, and
demonstrate recent successes such as the renovation of Heuston's 1846
trainshed and renewal of the Belvelly and Slatty viaducts on the Cobh
branch.
