My daily commute (by FCC, not on an Oyster card) terminates at
Platform 9 at King's Cross. I don't believe that I have ever seen any
Oyster touch in/out devices there.

Have they not been installed yet, or am I just not very observant?


You're just not very observant. look by the station at the end of the
platforms (as opposed to the passageway through to Platform 8). I think
there is also one part way up platform 9 by the other way through to 8.

Someone will no doubt explain why they are there.


....because Oyster Pre-pay is available on FCC between King's Cross and
Finsbury Park:

However some trains that stop at Finsbury Park depart from the main
shed at KX (often platform 8, I think). Are there any Oyster readers on
platforms 1-8?
