Metronet can't even get this right then! The signs are presumably LED
based, and therefore quite low in the power consumption stakes. If they
were trying to 'spend' more electricity, they should have thought of
that.

On FCC, I'm still waiting for the 317 signs to do anything more than
tell the time. National Express ordered and fitted the screens, but
nobody ordered the software (by the time the screens were in, they had
already lost the franchise). First has now ordered it but I still have
no firm date for when it will be installed and activated. Mind you,
look how long it took for the Piccadilly Line screens to show anything
useful (and they're still not all upgraded yet).
