You forgot: (c) one can claim it back on expenses or (d) one gets PRIVs,
so only has to pay £3.90 Single or £7.25 Return in "Express" Class

Aha - that's interesting. Is the priv reduction applicable for LT / TFL
PTAC holders or just former BR / current TOC employees?

The Picc Line is typically more convenient but it is worth knowing if I
can get a Priv rate should the need arise.
