month, people will be delighted with another zippy way to get around town

Unlikely. The tram route stops just outside the extended charging zone,
and it's more likely that people will just be resentful of both schemes
(C-charge extension and the tram).

I'm not aware of any particularly balanced websites explicitly listing
pros and cons. It's probably quite difficult to do so too, as now that
most of the road closures have been dropped, the main point of
contention has switched to traffic modelling and whether a lot of
traffic will rat run or not - the problem being that because TfL do the
modelling, the opposition automatically distrusts the results if they
don't say what they want them to say.
