I think this statement needed to be more wishy-washy, perhaps with
more buzzwords that at first glance look like commitment but actually
aren't. Similarly, they could fail to mention any timescale for
implementation, thereby making any action (or lack of action) they
take in the future compatible with the statement made today.

(actually it looks like a big, erm, "positive" step towards resolving
this dispute)
