Yes, I think you're right. I had thought it was the other side of
Osterley station, but looking at it on Google Earth, I now realise that
the bridges don't match there. But looking east from Ridgeway Road North,
the view matches exactly if you set the altitude low enough (say 100 - 200
ft). The next bridge is Wood Lane, and there are two beyond that(visible
at any rate in the Evening Standard's full page-width photo) which are
Syon Lane and one in Wyke Green Golf Club (the course is on both sides of
the line). Are trains ever hit by golf balls there?


Never had one myself, but I have seen a few trackside.
