Of ALL the methods of transport likely to be used to get the Royal
Family out of London, surely the Underground, with all the
vicissitudes that would involve (e.g. dozens of abandoned trains all
along the track) was the least likely!

No it was supposed to be an F stock, the underground could be used for
something it's only when the bomb was actually dropped that it ceases
to be useful.
