There is another apparent anomaly though - having announced that

_all_
trains 'towards' London are in the new regime, they don't seem to be,

eg
Eastleigh to Basingstoke is still on the original CDR set up all day.

There
must be another rule about distance too.

Possibly, but does something not including Basingstoke have that
feature, say Havant to Petersfield ?

Not easy to find out until the fares are available on the OJP!

The point being that Basingstoke (and Reading) have routes to London
using a different TOC so SWT has effectively excluded them from the new
regime with only a 0.10 difference in fares.

Basingstoke to London CDR 16.40 SuperoffpeakDR £16.30

I think a lot of people in South Hants have been taken in by the phrase 'The
price rise and introduction of Super Off-Peak fares will apply to journeys
from all stations _towards London_' on the website, and in the leaflets.
Its clearly not as straightforward as that, and perhaps the effect isn't as
widespread as imagined, especially given that the further out you get, the
nearer you must get to the Network Card 1000 limit, for instance the first
super off peak from Poole is at 1001...
