Peaceful travel to Heathrow

I'm sure when I looked at the LU site the other day that this bus was
the only replacement service listed, and that HEx was added at the last
minute. Can anyone confirm or refute that?
The Traffic Circular for the week 28 May to 3 June mentioned it. The
closing date for items to be included in that issue was 16th May.
In what circumstances does Expresstitution apply? I'm due to travel to
Heathrow on 17th June when the Picc is closed between Hammersmith and Acton
Town. That means the TfL planner is giving me a four-leg journey
Victoria-Notting Hill Gate-Ealing Broadway-Acton Town-Heathrow which isn't
funny with luggage. It's giving me HEx too, but says Travelcards aren't
valid. I'm tempted to catch the NX bus from Victoria but they aren't very
frequent.
When Expresstitution is in action, are Oyster cards valid on the HEx? If
not, is a paper Travelcard the only ticket that's valid, or will a single
Z1-6 do?
For added fun both train routes from Cambridge are blockaded that day...
I've booked seats on the coach instead.
