Is this possibly a mistaken reference to Thameslink, rather than ELLX in the
subject line?

Highlights:
From 2010 Forest Hill, Sydenham, Honor Oak Park, Brockley, Penge West
and Anerley will be connected to the Overground tube system

Overground tube system?

Oyster readers on all stations on the line

Aren't these going to be provided anyway, by 2009?

* Overall this is good news for people in Forest Hill and Sydenham who

finally get to join the tube system.

The overground as 'part of the tube system' seems to be a fairly regular
mistaken belief. *Only last week I read about an MP (Battersea?) who was
looking forward to ELLX phase 2, so that Clapham junction could finally be
part of the tube network...

Whereas, in fact, part of the London Underground ("Tube" if one must)
has been handed over to the National Rail privateers.

Which bit will be next I wonder?
