Guys, shall I fly? Or do I drive, since T-5 is still going to be a
mess in 30 days time?

What would you do?

Train (Virgin from Euston)

Or an airline that's not BA (bmi from Heathrow, VLM from London
City, for example).

Only drive if you're visiting for several days and need the car
while you're up there.

I am spending time in the area and have luggage. The train would be
very difficult; otherwise that would be a "no-brainer".

Will check out bmi.

Trains are quite good at luggage.
