I do - in all seriousness - know somewhere in London where a toilet
was specifically installed for the use of Adolph Hitler as it was
intended that he be imprisoned there.

Was it one of those German ones with a shelf?

There are many things I love and admire about Germany, a country in
which I have spent much time over the years for various reasons.

Those toilets (which are rarer nowadays but apparently making a
comeback) are not among them!

If anyone's wandering about the place in London by the way, it's Bishop
Fisher's Cell in the Tower of London. It lies at the top of the Bell
Tower and isn't normally open to the public (I've been in on a CPD day).
It was apparently readied for Hitler's use by the addition of a (quite
"normal") toilet next door.

Clearly, this was going to be a very British imprisonment.
