Blackpool Transport is a wholly-owned part of Blackpool Council, IIRC,
operating both trams and buses. They are run as a separate business
in practical terms, however.

I believe the few other remaining municipal bus companies (Rossendale
and Reading are the ones I can think of; there may be others) are the
same.

Also, what about Newcastle Metro? Is that still owned and operated by
the PTE, or is a contractor now involved? How about the Glasgow
underground?
