Default North London Line revised timetable

There are fairly major changes to the NLL services coming up for most of
this year, announced by TfL he

http://www.tfl.gov.uk/corporate/medi...tre/11408.aspx

"All peak time trains from Clapham Junction will now continue on to
Stratford, instead of some terminating at Willesden Junction.
A reduction of one train per hour for passengers travelling between Richmond
and Stratford during peak times. There will be four trains an hour again
when the work finishes.
Passengers between Willesden Junction and Stratford will have six trains an
hour in the peak times calling at their station, which for many stations is
an increased service

The detailed rationale for the changes is shown in these extracts from the
application on the Network Rail site he

http://tinyurl.com/cvg2vq

"With effect from start of traffic on Monday 20th April 2009, the No.1 Lines
between Camden Road East Junction and Dalston Junction - which are
predominantly used by freight traffic - will close for 12 months, as part of
the wide-ranging and ongoing North London Route Improvement Project (NLRIP)
works that are being undertaken by Network Rail.
For the remainder of 2009, all traffic on the heavily-used route between
Camden Road East Junction and Dalston Junction will use the No.2 Lines,
which are currently predominantly used by passenger traffic. Thus, a 3- and
4-track railway will be reduced to a 2-track railway for approximately 8
months. (All routes between Camden Road East Junction and Lea Junction will
then close at Christmas 2009 until April 2010, for upgrade work.)

"Moreover, the need to shunt rolling stock on the shorter-haul Willesden
Junction-Clapham Junction and Camden Road-Stratford services tends to add
further risk to overall performance during the Peak, while the extra Peak
services on those flows do not proportionately relieve the passenger
overcrowding issue....

"Therefore, LOROL has Bid for a revised Peak service effective from Monday
20th April 2009, to operate from the commencement of the closure of the No.1
Lines. This revised service, if implemented, will provide 6 trains per hour
per direction, to a clockface 10-minute pattern, between Willesden Junction
(High Level) and Stratford during both 3-hour Peak periods on weekdays. To
the west of Willesden Junction, the services will operate alternately to and
from Richmond and Clapham Junction, with each destination served at
20-minute intervals. (Richmond will also be served by 'infill' services to &
from Willesden Jn during the High Peak.)
