named after Sir William Prescott of the Lee Conservancy, when built in the
30s...
I must admit I wondered if it was a reference to filling the substantial
void between John Prescott's ears ...
Thankfully the expensive new lock has been named 'Three Mills Lock' to avoid
even more mistaken references to another Prescott...
That would be "Three Jags Lock", then.
