It is being laid to rest. I have yet to read an official explanation
as to why. My suspicious mind says that having these routes branded as
something "special" has caused issues relating to the change of
vehicle. While it's fair to say bus routes are obviously busier in the
peaks the Red Arrows had a sort of special "aura" because of the huge
crush loads they shift from railway termini. If you read back over
many of the moans about removing bendy buses the Red Arrow routes were
nearly always identified as the exception that proves the rule that
it's daft to get rid of them.

Well that's my 2p worth of conspiracy theory!
