The UK march agaimst Bush
Having read your posts and the fact you are a lawyer or in the legal
proffesion it pains me to see you have such an attitute. You talk about the protesters as it they are some unified mass having all the same opinion A dislike of Bush and an anti-war stance seems to be a unifying factor for this disparate group - so why should I not classify them, for this purpose, as one? you speak of Iraqis the same No, but if the majority don't want British or American help, then so bit it. We should not stay there a moment longer than necessary, especially if our lads are being killed. I would prefer a proper exit strategy, restoration of essential services and a proper form of government before we left, but if we are prevented from doing so, then we should leave. Why should we stay there just so that more killing can take place. Marc. |
