First class and oyster cards
 

What is the situaiton with first class and oyster PAYG. Can it be
valid in First? Can you get a first class oyster PAYG ?

I suspect the answer is no so if you want to go first class in the
zones you will still need a ticket.

In Hong Kong they do offer First Class supplements on the East Rail line
to Lo Wu / Lok Ma Chau which you pay for by touching your Octopus card
on a platform validator in the designated first class zone on the

In NL you have to specify 1st or 2nd for the OVkaart, after which
it'll always "check in" for that class on the NS (and Arriva?). Kinda
dumb cos it means colleagues who can bill 1st class (due to the
crowding on 2nd) carry 2 OVks: one set for 1st, one set for 2nd. Each
has to have the minimum EUR20 to permit entry for the train net (EUR4
for GVB/RET).

HK sounds sensible.
