Travelcard discounts on river services
 

I see that Thames Clippers are offering discounts to travelcard holders -
does the travelcard in question have to be valid in Z1? I have a Z456
Annual Travelcard - is that enough to get me a discount?

The Travelcard discount applies to anyone with a Travelcard for any
zones of any duration as long as it's valid at the time you're making
your journey. Don't expect any additional discount for using Oyster
PAYG though. You used to get a further 20% off for buying a book of 10
tickets so some people making occasional trips have seen quite a price
hike since Oyster PAYG was introduced on Thames Clippers having to pay
£3.55 per journey instead of something like £2.60.

It's still valid for the third off discount.

For a sightseeing trip, rather than a fast commute, City Cruises gives
one-third discount when you show a valid Travelcard or Oyster with a
Tcard loaded. But this offer doesn't include Oyster cards which are
only loaded with PAYG.

From Westminster, Waterloo [London Eye], Tower and Greenwich piers -
but the discount tickets can't be pre-booked.

Also worth noting if you take the big RiverLiners - which operate to
Greenwich - the open top deck means you can enjoy the light and sky
which is an essential part of the river view. And you've got all-round
visibility - great for for photos - and since these are large
displacement vessels operating at max 12knots they are nice and stable.

If you're coming in to central London on the train, you can also get a
'twofer' - 2 for 1 all-day River Red Rover {£13] - download the voucher
from http://www.daysoutguide.co.uk/city-cruises.

Since this is valid from stations in London as well as those further
afield it could be a better bet depending on party size. And yes, the
offer is valid with a Tcard issued by a train operator, as long as you
present the voucher.
