I've read what the website has to say; seems a pity that you can't pay
by Oyster card.

If I had something like a canal towpath available between home and
work then I might consider it, but even if the scheme does get
extended this far out in the future, there's no way I'd ever want to
cycle up the Brighton Road.

There are very often ways of routing oneself away from busy roads -
the 'London Cycle Network' often offers routes that take one away from
busy roads onto quieter side and back streets along with dedicated
cycle paths and a variety of cut-throughs for cyclists - it isn't
complete, and is far from perfect, but it provides a basis for
planning routes across London which one can then alter and customise
to suit. I really rather enjoy working out new routes across town away
from the main thoroughfares - the path less followed is often quite an
interesting one (plus one can get that feeling of engaging with the
city a bit more - well, I do at least).

Enough of my waffling - just to say there are ways of avoiding the A23!

I say we take off & nuke the entire site from orbit, it's the only way to be
sure...

be regarded as a continuation of the initial hire - this to stop people
just daisy-chaining their way across London all day long without paying
anything at all - it's easy to overcome though, one just needs to wait
out the five minutes before hiring another bike!)

Or have two keys, registered to different accounts.

I don't know what a ceilidh is and I dread to ask. I'm picturing some kind
of mechanical contraption with dildos attached to pistons. -- Jonathan M

But then you would have to pay the £1 daily fee again on the second key.
