London Overground Interchanges
The London and South East RUS stated that it was anticipated to build
an NLL and WLL station close to the HS2 station at Old Oak Common. I was wondering how likely it was that the NLL station would be built at North Acton (where the NLL crosses the GWML, as suggested in the Park Royal Planning Framework, (http://www.london.gov.uk/sites/default/ files/park-royal-oapf-chaps1-9.pdf) p39). Footbridges could then run alongside the railway lines to link to the Central Line and HS2 stations. Also, the WLL station could be built immediately south of Mitre Bridge, with access to HS2 via North Pole Depot. Also, the Earl's Court and West Kensington Draft Joint Supplementary Planning Document (http://www.london.gov.uk/sites/default/files/ 11_03_03_ECWKOA-Draft-SPD.pdf, p178), suggests extending the platforms at West Brompton northwards to allow 8 car Southern services to run. This would also allow a new access to the station, to reduce pressure on the existing entrance. Is it possible that this entrance would allow a proximity interchange with Earls Court station? |

Decades overdue IMHO. Also, the WLL station could be built immediately south of Mitre Bridge, with access to HS2 via North Pole Depot. As long as they leave room for a High Speed Line from Euston towards the GW Birmingham route, and a Crossrail link to the Euston outer suburban service.
