LU Quiz

If you need to cash up a ticket machine do you do it:

A) When the ticket office is open so passengers can buy their tickets there.

B) When the ticket office is closed so everyone has to queue for the 1
working machine which incidentaly doesn't take notes.

Well , if you're someone with a working brain the answer would be A.
Unfortunately for the LU staff at Hanger Lane it appears its B.

Where do they hire these people from, Idiots-R-Us?

If there's only one chap available, he can't be cashing up the machine
*and* operating the office at the same time.

Why not? He can keep an eye on the window and if someone comes up then go
deal with them. As far as I can tell the cashing up is mostly automatic anyway.

LU probably work on the assumption that nowadays the only people
needing to buy individual tickets in stations are either tourists
or morons.

I'm sure if you'd have asked nicely, the clerk would have lent
you a crayon to put your complaint in writing.

Are you calling Boltar a tourist? That's bit unkind.

Hanger Lane is crawling with them. They can't get enough
of the traffic on the Western Avenue.

....

The "hangra" was the wooded slope which now forms part
of Hanger Hill Park.

This information can be found on the tourist leaflets which are
freely available at the visitor centre in the middle of the
gyratory system.

Or just maybe - and I know this is a long shot but hey - it could be
people wanting to top up their PAYG oyster card and who arn't so ****ing
stupid as to give a disorganised mess like TfL their bank details so they can
lose them to hackers or "accidentally" overcharge.

I'm sure if you'd have asked nicely, the clerk would have lent
you a crayon to put your complaint in writing.

Is crayon your standard approach then?
