Victoria line signalling

On saturday I noticed some new cabling lying between the tracks on the
victoria line which had the look of a leaky feeder to me. Anyone know how
its going with the new signalling system? Is it working anywhere on the
line yet?

The new signalling is being migrated from Walthamstow down to Brixton.
During the last weekend possession it had reached Warren Street with
some further preparatory work done towards Victoria. AIUI the trains
use the new system where this is switched on and switch to the old one
when on that section.

I had a cab ride the other week from the depot to Warren Street and
saw the old boundary just south of Euston (it was there then). Not
sure if the wire you've seen is part of the signalling or not. The
switchover should be complete in a few weeks time with a new better
timetable to follow. The current run time is several minutes faster
due to the new train's superior performance when compared to 67 stock.
The new timetable will take out some of the current "surplus" time so
less dwell time at some stops.

I also saw the control room and was very impressed with the
functionality and facilities that are available to the service control
staff. More functions will be available when the line switches over
fully to the new system.

That will mean that all the platform repeaters at the end of platforms
are turned off, unfortunately. I always liked their design.

It was in the ditch (or whatever its called) on northbound oxford circus.
I hadn't noticed it last time I was there so I'm guessing its reasonably
new.

Not if the doors have anything to do with it. If my journey on saturday was
anything to go by they still haven't got them sorted properly.
