Query re Canary Wharf Crossrail station

Canary Wharf Crossrail station is being built in the northernmost of the three West India Docks - the one that was used for Import.

Several boats have been moored at the western end of this dock for several years. Prior to construction starting on the new station, they would have been able to exit the dock via the eastern end. Whilst construction is going on, this is impossible. However once construction has finished, will they again be able to do so? Or will they permanently be locked in?

I had always assumed that once construction had finished, boats would be able to exit via a narrow channel to the north of the new station. However now that the station is taking shape (I have a look every few days or so), it doesn't look to me as though a channel will be provided.

I've googled but found anything indicating one way or the other.

Many thanks

And I can only think of Otto floating down the stream with the easel about his neck. From the little river he will float into the Dnieper, and from the Dnieper into the Bug, and from the Bug he will float down the Volga, and from the Volga into the Caspian Sea and from the Caspian Sea there is no outlet, and Otto will float round and round it for ever.

Is it not dreadful?
