The incident happened at just after 6am and is not being treated as suspicious. A British Transport Police (BTP) spokesman said: “BTP officers were called to Hayes and Harlington rail station on Tuesday, 11 September following a report of a man being struck by a train. “BTP and Metropolitan Police officers attended the incident, which was reported to BTP at 6am and is currently being treated as non- suspicious. “Paramedics from the London Ambulance Service also attended but the man was pronounced dead at the scene. “Enquiries are ongoing to establish the identity of the man and inform his family. “A file will be prepared for the coroner.” The train involved was the 5.48am London Paddington to Worcester service. The line was handed back to Network Rail at 7.55am. |
