If someone with chronic fatigue syndrome arrives on a train from
Brighton, is it easy for them to get to the "Raft" where the Gatwick
Express passengers board taxis, or would they have to use the street?

and in what way does "chronic fatigue syndrome" disable a person.

can they use escalators or do they need a lift, for example

They are disabled because they are incapable of walking long distances.
At some point (possibly predictable) they will just not have the
energy to take another step. They (and others who have limits on how
far they can walk in one go) are seriously disadvantaged by the current
wheelchair-dominated form of disability provision where the effort required
to avoid some stairs is often much greater than that required to use them
(which is still too much). Escalators should be fine, as long as getting
to and from the ends is possible.

The easiest way would be via the lifts/escalators on platforms 13/14.
However, these are now behind a ticket gateline, and I don't think it's the
same gateline as P15-19. The alternative is to use the escalators up into
the shops that are also on the "raft", but you have to exit via Ecclestone
bridge to get to the taxi rank. From the P15-19 gateline it's around 300m
walking with an escalator ride in the middle.
