Default Greater Anglia m-Tickets

I used one today for a trip to Liverpool St this evening on a Super Off-Peak
Day Return. One can it seems only buy them on ones phone. The gate at
Cambridge wouldn't read the QR code and there was no reader on the (manual)
gate at Liverpool St. By the time I got back to Cambridge the gates were
open so I've no idea if the wide exit gate would read it.

Any other experiences?
