Dwell time on Crossrail?
 

Just been in Munich (escaped before BeerFest). Central S-bahn lines have
platforms on both sides, one for entry and one for exit. Must
significantly reduce dwell times as unloading (alighting) and loading
(boarding) take place simultaneously.
Was this considered for Crossrail?
It is confusing for strangers as in Munich there is no obvious 'up' exit
on the entry side if you get out on that side! (We just awaited next
train and 'walked through'...)

I don't think so, but the cars do have three doors, rather than the
more normal two.

I don't think so, but the cars do have three doors, rather than the
more normal two.

A bit like tube trains which traditionally have two sets of double doors and
two single end doors per car. The newest underground trains have three
double doors per side but the C stock introduced from 1970 had four double
doors per side precisely because of high passenger flows on the Circle Line.
