David Taylor ) gurgled happily, sounding much like they were saying : Even whilst it's activated, the driver has control over the cruise control -- they can turn it off. Unless it malfunctions... In the unlikely event of major CC malfunction, the driver can always turn it off. Even if, due to some major brain-fart on the designer or installer's part, there's no way to just cut power to the CC unit, the driver can just knock the car into neutral. Hmm, you obviously haven't seen "Runaway Car". At least, I think that's the title of it. I mostly erradicated it from my memory, it was that bad. It's about a bunch of people who are in a car, which somehow can't be stopped. Mysteriously, the brakes fail, the transmission gets stuck, the key snaps in the lock, and the acellerator is stuck fully open... I would highly recommend never watching it, ever.
