Really? Is it not supported on an earlier Windows (I tried XPs
Home and Pro) or is there another problem?

I'm thinking of putting the NW Bus map to music. :-)

I'm on ME, so probably that's the reason.

Acobat Reader 6, or Read out loud?

a) http://www.adobe.com/products/acrobat/readstep2.html -- though due to
the vagaries of http frames you might need to click on the Get Adobe Reader
icon in the left column.

b) (Menu) - View - Read out loud

Be aware that I had conflicts between Acrobat 5 and Reader 6 on
the same system -- what displayed all .pdfs depended on how the programmes
were first called and which got first "look in"". In the end I deleted
Acrobat 5 (I've never worked out what it is, anyway. It's not a document
preparation and editing programme!). Acrobat 6 is available for
evaluation on the above site; I expect it co-exists more peacefully with
Reader 6!

Read out loud. Found it, thanks - I had Acrobat Reader 6, but when it
opened via Internet Explorer, it defaulted to the Explorer buttons, not
the Reader ones. Saved the map and then re-opened it, and it does read
out loud.....
