Default Difference between starting and road signals

"Christopher Rivituso" wrote in message

I have been reading about the signalling system on the London
Underground, and one question has popped into my mind: Is there a true
difference between starting signals at stations and regular wayside
signals between stations? Would somebody be able to explain?

If you mean different colours, then no. There are different operational
procedures for dealing with a signal failure of a station starter. Wayside
signals are known as running signals.
