Famous people on UK railway stations

Just wondering how many famous people we see on our trains and
stations...

At various stations in the South East, I have seen the following
people:
Barry Cryer, Ray Dorset (from Mungo Jerry), Corbin Bernsen, Amanda
Pays, Hugh Dennis, Zoë Wanamaker, Paul Ross, Michael Sheard (Mr
Bronson in Grange Hill), and a few others I can't recall just now.

Today I saw the actor Richard Dixon on Waterloo concourse at about
16.15 hrs.

I imagine we all see a few from time to time. So far, I haven't seen
any on trains.

This must be a new meaning of "famous" that I'm not familiar with.

Leon Brittan on the Victoria Line
Edwina Currie entering the tube at Victoria
Peter Mandelson on GNER train to London
Michael Foot on the 24 bus
sundry other MPs using the tube to get to Westminster

I haven't seen many "real" celebrities anywhere and certainly not on
public transport.

I'll add ...

Eddie Butler (Rugby player & commentator) at Reading station.
Bob Willis (former England Cricket Captain) on train from London to
Birmingham.

Once (many years ago) I travelled on the plane from Heathrow to Brussels
with Barbara Castle and then shared baggage (sic) reclaim with her and
Village People. :-(

Jimmy Edwards used to be seen regularly at Haywards Heath, and I've stood by
Robin Day, and had a chat, at the carousel at Heathrow T3, just after Reagan
got the Presidential nomination in Detroit in 1980 (I think).

Saw 2 of the actors who play footballers from Sky One's Dream Team (don't
know their names but they played Carl Fletcher and Stevie Shaw) on a
district line train. They got on at Bromley by bow where it's filmed and got
off at Mile End. They spent the whole journey walking back and forth to make
sure everyone spotted them!!!

I was once on a Northern Line train with Hilda Braid, who's currently
in Eastenders. I followed her across the concourse at Waterloo where
she go on a Richmond line train. Years ago a friend and I saw Rolf
Harris getting on a train at Paddington.

may have been on that plane too - was it in the early 1980s?

Honeysuckle Weekes, on the Victoria line. I had no idea who she was
at the time, but my mater Dave who was down from Hull was barely able
to contain himself!

Mackenzie Crook, on the Northern line. Not as ugly as he appears in
'The Office'.

Yes, this was somewhere between mid-81 (I think) and mid-83. I think VP
had flown in from the US (possibly elsewhere in Europe) -- not on plane
I was on from Heathrow to Brussels.

Thank you! Sorry I didn't hang around but one of the VP crew got upset
at Belgian Customes asking for some of their trunks to be opened and
flung a couple of armfulls of mics etc. around the baggage hall. I
beetled PDQ -- didn't like to lokk of the Belgian gendarmes with hands
on their revolvers. :-(

Alan Wicker, WB Picc. @ Knightsbridge. This was several years ago, when he
was *very* much a celeb, these days, I probably wouldn't recognize him if he
fell on me...
