Reasons for delays
On the tube, why are there only a finite number of reasons for delays with
very little explanation (and often different reasons at different stations)? Does anyone have a complete list? So far I've got: * Passenger action * Person under a train * Signal Failure * Failure of safety equipment * Late finish of engineering works * Earlier delays * Staff shortage |

Broken rail.
Generally it doesn't mean a broken rail, it has been used as another explanation for a track circuit failure. "Roland Perry" wrote in message .uk... Reasons for delays
I like the notice on the LED displays on SET when a 'fast' train goes
through:- The approaching train is not for public use (nice to know when I'm on it) Once on the SET WAP site (now discontinued) was The hh:mm from Abbey Wood to Abbey Wood via Abbey Wood is delayed due to a failed train at Faversham. Often we used to get delays at places like Sittingbourne, and helpful advice that London Transport were accepting tickets (40 miles away) Chris |
