H'mm. Wondering whether to buy one for our local constabulary. Following a
recent incident when I dialled 999 I was told to call my "local" station, and
given a number which turned out not to be the station around the corner but one
in the middle of the borough.
After telling them the problem, I was asked about five times to spell my
address, while the person at the other end kept saying "it is not on our
system".
They never did get over here. Now maybe if they started with an educational
jigsaw. . .
On the other hand perhaps this place would make a perfect hideaway, as it seems
they could never find anyone here.
Wondered about the secret villainy of some of the neighbours posing as harmless
"Old Dears" - they could all be long-lost fugitives. Where Permuda Triangle
meets The Lost Incontinent.
