Chiltern offer advance £5 single London-Birmingham

http://www.chilternrailways.co.uk/pa...=188&news=true

It's called an "E-Day" ticket and costs £5 each way; must be booked
online at least 7 days in advance and can only be used on specific
trains (looks like 2 each way per day). In other words, it's like a VV7.

The Just £15 ticket is cheaper if you want a return and have a Railcard.

And print it out yourself!

It looks like Chiltern are the first to try to bring e-ticketing to
rail in the UK - the best of luck to them!

Gatwick Express also seem to have e-ticketing. Weren't Scotrail sleepers the
first to try it?
