Default Crossrail Meeting

The benchmark scheme that was approved by Mr Darling yesterday
included two western branches and two eastern one: Heathrow, Kingston,
Shenfield and Ebbsfleet. 24 trains a hour would run in the centre of
London.

snip
Kingston branch: options still have to be selected. If it went via
Acton Central then Churchfield Road Level crossing would close. Other
options see the line going via Chiswick Park or
Turnham Green.

Thanks for this report. I assume it was from the meeting in Ealing Town
Hall this evening.

Re the Kingston branch options:

- Was anything said about the level crossing at Bollo Lane (between South
Acton and Gunnersbury)?

- Do the "other options" re Chiswick Park and Turnham Green still include
the tunnel option (tunnel from the GWML to Chiswick) or has that been ruled
out?

The bollo road level crossing weren't mentioned although I presume
they would have to close also.

The tunnel remains with the Chiswick Park and Turnham Green options,
there is an option with a striaghtforward tunnel with no station as
well.
