More Tube lines now have live ETA boards

The Bakerloo line is now joined by the Jubilee, Metropolitan, Northern
and Victoria lines in having 'live' ETA Boards (the Tube equivalent of
National Rail's Live Departure Boards).

There's web, WAP and PDA versions available.

WAP - http://www.tfl.gov.uk/wap/eta/

PDA - http://www.tfl.gov.uk/pda/

And "more lines [are] to follow in the next few months".

It's good that they've added the Met and Northern, which have low
frequencies on some of the outer branches. This will make the service
much more useful.

(Having said that, only the more central Met stations are available,
and in any case when you choose one it says "Information for the
Metropolitan line is currently unavailable", but hopefully this will
be fixed soon.)

How exactly is a Seven Sisters train going to get to the Northbound
platform of Blackhorse Road in 5 minutes' time?

-----------

Northbound - Platform 1 View pop up departure board

Destination Due in Location
Walthamstow Central 3 mins Between Seven Sisters and Finsbury Park
Seven Sisters 5 mins Finsbury Park Platform 2
Walthamstow Central 10 mins Between Highbury & Islington and King's Cross

Southbound - Platform 2 View pop up departure board

Destination Due in Location
Brixton 1 min Walthamstow Central Platform 2

Still nothing for the District Line, which hasn't even got the standard
dot matrix system in use on the Northern for perhaps 20 years. Bow
Road's new WB platform indicator board use smaller lettering, are less
centrally located on the platforms, illuminate the 'next train' message
later than its predecessor, and still doesn't give more than 2 minutes'
advance warning!!!! Useless!!!

Of course I mean still not got on many of the branches - if Bow Road -
Upminster can be considered a 'branch'.

Something seriously wrong with the southbound Jubilee indications at
Finchley Road: it displays northbound destinations!

And unless I'm misreading something on the WAP version (I don't have
much previous experience with these boards) it's advertising Northbound
departures from Stanmore!
