New Arriva bus 382 - whoops!
Yes 382 is still running via Ossidge Lane, Can any ine tell me why the 121
was diverted via Ferny Hill/Cockfoster Station today ( Sun)...... several over-hanging branches at Trent Park where modifying the roof of the two I saw the "Colin McKenzie" wrote in message ... John Rowland wrote: Bus 382 started today (Saturday). It was supposed to serve Parkside Gardens in South Barnet, and since I happened to be in the area for an unrelated reason and noticed the 382 plate on a bus stop, I decided to park the car and wait to see the new bus. After 2 buses in each direction failed to materialise, I asked some locals who informed me that the buses couldn't fit through Parkside Gardens and had been diverted via Osidge Lane. There was no warning on any of the bus stops. Doesn't surprise me at all. TfL has a plan to alter 224 and 226, but didn't realise until I told them that this would involve the bus passing through a 6'6" width restriction. Their response? The plans are still in place and they're arranging with the borough to add a bus gate to the restriction. It's quite possible that the changes will go ahead on time and the bus gate will follow some months later. Any diversionary route will be at least a mile longer, on congested roads. Colin McKenzie |
