Default Tube history lecture in March

This was passed to me yesterday evening. It's a lunchtime one, so
probably only of interest to those in town on the day. AIUI it's free
and you just turn up.

Fraud, bankruptcy, suicide and transportation: The history of the
London Underground railway

Speaker: Dr Stephen Halliday
Date/Time: 16/03/2006, 1pm
Venue: Barnard's Inn Hall

Dr Stephen Halliday is the author of many books based on Victorian
London including "The Great Stink" which has featured in several radio
and TV programmes and "Underground to Everywhe London's Underground
Railway in the life of the Capital". Dr Halliday lectures at
Buckinghamshire Business School and Cambridge.
