There are absolutely no trains going either way through Vauxhall at the moment, 15.55. There is one outbound Eurostar which has stook at signals for about 10 minutes now. I bet the people on the Eurostar that has been sat in Vauxhall for half an hour now wished that they had gone on the plane. You know the ad, by now you would be, well sitting in Vauxhall. Indeed. It's unheard-of to get on a plane and then be stuck on the tarmac at Heathrow for 45 minutes. Imagine the furore if that were to happen! What's that, Skippy? "Loads of flights get stuck on the tarmac awaiting take-off, and the average delay on short-haul flights is far greater than the average delay on intercity trains"? Wash your mouth out with soap, Skippy: we'll have none of that Commie train-loving talk round here... -- John Band |
