Ghost DAISY train
Yesterday I was looking at the internet departure boards for the DLR
(DAISY) at Canary Wharf, and saw a "City Airport" train (no, not KGV) on the boards (which I thought was odd). Looking more closely, it was meant to be arriving at the easternmost platform, between Lewisham trains (even more odd). I then tried to find it on some other departure boards, and apparently this City Airport train came from somewhere beyond Poplar, and called at all stations from Poplar south to Greenwich, where it then disappeared. Does anyone have a clue what this was? To me it seems like either (a) a non-existent train, (b) a train short-turning at Greenwich with the wrong destination listed or (c) DLR have constructed a brand new extension from Greenwich to City Airport without telling anyone. -- Dave Arquati Imperial College, SW7 www.alwaystouchout.com - Transport projects in London |
