Tube access from Heston services (west)

Anybody know this area?

Staying in the travelodge at Heston West services

Looking at the map, it looks like Houslow West is the nearest tube
station. Any idea if there is pedestrian access off the services to get
to this.

How far is it to walk? Is it safe to walk late at night?

Failing that - best place to tube back to and get taxi back to the
travelodge ?

It's about 1.25 miles (25 - 30 mins walk) or catch bus H32 from the top
of the access road to the North side of the service station. That goes
to Hounslow West & to Southall (trains to Ealing & Paddington).

It's as safe as walking anywhere in London suburbs. I'd be quite happy
to walk there at night.

Heston services is a fair distance from Hounslow West Tube.
It's residential around there and you shouldn't have too much trouble.

But you should be able to get a taxi.
Should take 5-10 minutes in a car late at night to the tube.

If you're going to get the taxi, the most effective drive is probably to
Osterley, which will also have the advantage of commencing your underground
journey a little closer to Central London, assuming that's where you'll be
headed.

As far as i know (but cant be sure)

Hounslow West has a minicab office and a black cab rank.

Osterley has nothing. (but as it's on the A4 you can probably flag a
black cab down)
