I see the drain is closed again this Saturday - what's going on? I
remember trying to go on it a few weekends after it was reOpened, and
found it closed?

What's going on - couldn't they have done this whilst it was closed?

Apparently from the very beginning they knew that they won't have
enough time to do it, and Saturday closures (until the end of the year)
were planned before the closure.

All non-emergency Tube works are carried out at the weekends to
minimise inconvenience.

I would imagine with the W&C Line that they wanted to get the line open
ASAP, and so some less essential work was left over to be completed
later.
