Irish Railway Record Society talk on Thursday 16th November 2006

"Iarnród Éireann's Heritage Office" by Gregg Ryan

Gregg is IÉ's Heritage Officer, responsible for managing IÉ's
rich legacy of architectural, industrial and social history, stretching
back to the beginning of railways in Ireland and reminding us of the
distinctive styles of companies long gone. He will tell us about the
challenges of conserving railway heritage within a modern railway, and
demonstrate recent successes such as the renovation of Heuston's 1846
trainshed and renewal of the Belvelly and Slatty viaducts on the Cobh
branch.

From 19.00 - 21.45 in the function room of the Exmouth Arms, 1

Starcross Street , LONDON NW1

The pub is 5 minutes walk from Euston station (west on Drummond Street
, then north on Cobourg Street ).
