Cross River Transit Consultation
....popped through my letterbox over the weekend.
There's only a single route option on the core section (Euston-Waterloo), but most of the branches have several different options. The differences are mostly comparatively minor, but two are pretty big: the Waterloo to Oval section can run either via Lambeth North and Kennington Cross, or via St George's, Elephant and Kennington tube; while Euston to King's Cross has both a direct route and one via Mornington Crescent and St Pancras Hospital. The only other significant shift from the original plans is that the Peckham branch is now planned to go beyond the bus station to Peckham Rye station. This is presumably because it makes sense to link up with the Overground Network, when it comes. Jonn |

Jonn Peckham Rye is already on the 'Overground Network', which is here now. http://www.overgroundnetwork.com/pdf...etwork-map.pdf I reckon you may be thinking of the East London Line phase 2 extension, which is going to be run by 'Overground' national rail services, franchised by TfL. Obviously some marketing guru has realised it makes perfect sense to recycle the 'Overground' branding so quickly. Paul |
