I wonder, is there any official way to see some closed stations like
Aldwych or destroyed ones like British Museum? (for the purpose of
non-commercial photographing by tube enthusiast ;-)

LT museum used to do occasional tours of Aldwych and Down St. but not
in recent years. Some say this is for 'security' reasons; others have
said it is due to Health & Safety considerations - these places are,
after all, dark dirty and dangerous. So I guess your options are
getting a track/tunnel maintenance job or hiring Aldwych station -
which is frequently used for filming.

British Museum has had, I believe, no access from above since the
surface-building was demolished but the platform space with white tiled
walls can still be seen from trains - this area is used for storage and
very occasionally somebody even leaves a light on.

The official LUL Infrastructure Map covers 16 disused stations and a
couple of other probably interesting places on the LUL network.

Does anyone know why the (non infraco) branch from Queens Park to Kilburn
High Road is shown? Do Bakerloo line trains get along there at all?

I understand that LU have running rights over that section if they need
to turn trains without jamming up the points and sheds at Queens Park.
This is part of the overall access agreement with Network Rail for
Bakerloo trains on the surface section which is all on NR tracks.

I think this was used yesterday when there was a train failure at Queens
Park and the line had to run in two sections for a while. I don't
believe passengers are carried over this section though.

How bizarre - Lillie Bridge depot is controlled by JNP although access
is to, from and for the SSL!

The same thing happens at York Street station, on the Piccadilly Line.

That *may* date back to ye olden days when Lillie Bridge was the
Piccadilly Line depot. Or I could be talking out of my rear end ;)

Cheers,

Barry

Gee, I'm not the rich (to hire entire station) or strong (to do manual
work)...
Well, let's hope situation will change in the future!
