Default [OT] Train collision in Philadelphia SEPTA

http://wjz.com/national/topstories_story_135021304.html

quote
The trains went on to the next stop so passengers would not have to
evacuate in the tunnel and because the stop was near Temple University
Hospital.

I find this very interesting - there's no mention of an assisting
driver or an operating official attending either train, and if they
were capable of moving to the next station, the collision clearly
wasn't a strong one.
