I don't understand what you mean by "another viaduct" - the bridge in the
background in your photo *is* Bridge 406.

Hmm yes... Indeed. But I thought for a sec that BAR 242 must have been
further south somewhere, probably under the Charing Cross line and you
answered "no" to the question if there was I nightclub there... But
looking again and thinking about it it must be the same place in the photos.

Your picture shows the goods entrance to Bar 242, which is up a yard off the
north side of Burrell St. The front door of Bar 242 is up a sloping road
from the Blackfriars Rd / Southwark Street junction onto the viaduct. I
suppose the bar itself is under the viaduct.

Speaking of viaducts, Rogue Studios SE16 is a "recording studio" under a
viaduct. Surely a railway viaduct is a bad place to have a recording studio?

It is. I have been there once and you can here trains running above you
inside there. I didn't know that I was so close to that place when I was
back there some months later and took that picture though. But such
things happen, just followed some friends to that bar without thinking
of where I was.

Sounds like there could be interesting recordings! Reminds me of London
Dungeon where the feeling of the scary-spooky things down there gets
interrupted by the sounds of trains above.

Why, though?

Why not?

I like it. It improves the atmosphere.
